Session 140 – God Doesn't Answer

As it turns out, the force field was not God. Or, if it was, God opted not to answer. The party poked and prodded it a bit more, and discovered they could move through it, albeit slowly. Given that they are all able to breathe on the surface of mars thanks to their Outsider Worm-Yeast, they headed out the crevasse, and discovered the continuation of tunnel on the other side. There was no forcefield there, leaving this section of sewer open to the atmosphere of mars. There was also a sign almost immediately on the other side of the crevasse suggesting that the party had entered a pirate’s lair, under the leadership of someone named “Tom.” In the nearby tunnels they found a number of dissicated corpses, and veins of gold running through the walls. They collected some random items from the corpses–each had a smart phone, indicating that these must have been from early in the apocalypse when such tech was still commonplace.

Down one corridor they found what could only be described as the pirate’s loot vault. They were menaced by a number of mechanical arms each bearing laser weapons, but fought and emerged victorious, collecting a number of valuable items!
