Highlights Recap

Having completed their exploration of the art gallery, the party moved on to the Plague wing, curious as to what they’d find there.

After hacking their way in, they discovered a series of rooms dedicated to different diseases. All had a massive holographic projection of what the microscopic organism looked like, cells gontaining holographic projections of victims suffering from the disease, information plaques about the disease, and a canister containing a sample of the disease. There were only five exhibits here: Cat Flu (common, with mild symptoms), Belisian Mumps (incredibly rare, but also with mild symptoms), The Snap (A rare childhood disease which causes brittle bones), Beta-X2348 (a weaponized disease which causes eyes to pop out), and Skarge, a horrific disease thought to be long ago eradicated, which causes a person a person’s internal structures to liquify.

The party found nothing in the plague wing to hold their interest, and moved on to the menagerie. After hacking their way in, they discovered the the place was, indeed, rife with creatures that had escaped and formed into a kind of ecosystem.

The party found a room with an aquarium in it, which they explored for treasures, finding none. Though Agamoni did get a squid stuck to her head, which she decided to keep as a hat. She put a bowl of water on top of it to keep it alive.

While exploring the aquarium. the party encountered an alien creature named Sullen, who was here to catch some fish to eat. He and the party made friends, and he brought the party back to his home where they would be reasonably safe from “the hunter.”

Following him, the party discovered a room where creatures from several different intelligent species had gathered to share food, and protect one another. The most present danger was a large reptilian creature, which they’d dubbed “The Hunter.” The party promised to slay the hunter, Sullen offered to make notes on their map to indicate what was in each room, so they might prepare themselves.

The party discovered went around, discovering some cryogenically frozen creatures (apparently too dangerous to exhibit live), as well as a room filled with creature bones (which they enjoyed goofin’ around with). They also found a group of security robots which had holed themselves up in a room for decades after failing to contain the many creatures which had gotten loose in here. Since they were only ever meant to be active for short bursts, the security bots brains were starting to develop unusually. Gown rallied them with a big speech, and they all set off to destroy the Hunter.

After failing to find it in its lair, the party went back to the entrance of the menagerie wing, where they discovered footprints leading out into the main complex. They followed these, which led to a swath of blood and destruction, eventually leading up towards the docking area where the party’s ship was.

The session ended in media res.
