Highlights Recap

When Ashernar joined up with the party, he was informed of the need for a superhero disguise, and quickly found a black spandex suit for himself, and cut a window in the chest, and called himself “Glow Wing.” He also tried to cover up Spooky’s attractiveness by covering her in garbage, and giving her the sidekick name “Dirty Girl.” The newer party members, unknowns that they are, determined they could get away without disguises.

Once that was taken care of, the party arrived at the old slave warehouse. Umquat attempted to sneak into the place to get a look around, but was spotted by some guards across the street. She tried to talk her way out of things, then Spooky walked up and kinda threw a wrench into Umquat’s attempt. Then, just to make things ridiculous, Ashernar and Roy both walked up and made additional claims, which strained the guard’s credulity to the breaking point, and combat broke out.

The party managed to take out the two guards in a single round, getting them bound up and available for transport, then dragging them inside the parking structure they’d been standing next to. Most of the party moved deeper into the structure to find a private place to search the guards, while Spooky and Faylana remained behind to keep watch.

The party didn’t manage to get much out of the captured men before they heard the two hirelings cry out in alarm. The party rushed to their aid, and discovered that the two women had been ambushed. Turns out the two guards outside had been supported by six bowmen, who had not had time to act before the party barged their way into the building and out of their line of fire.

Spooky was already in bad shape by the time her companions arrived, and though the party fought valiantly, she was killed. The battle was fiercely fought on both sides, but the party was victorious. They killed 3 of the bowmen, and captured the other 3.

With 5 captives, and running low on resources, the party determined it was time to be on their way home. They used the live mail service to ship the 5 bodies to the soul extraction point.

Thus ended April, 2519.
