My biggest change is I use my encumbrance system. And I use a variant of the split slot rule. Which reminds me I need to finish that up and post it up at my blog...

Wait, you mean you don't promote slavery and genocide? I must be in the wrong place.

Kidding.

There are a number of free whiteboard services (like Twiddla) and other digital methods for sharing information. There are even some plugins for G+ hangouts like Tabletop Forge (though I have not experimented with it much). Character sheets are fine on paper for me.

I don't have any experience with the online Pathfinder community (well, other than LS). I think all the tabletop games I have played online so far have actually been Labyrinth Lord. But I see all kinds of games being advertised. None of the OSR folks I have played with would give a fig about rules tinkering (as long as things were not too complicated; no one wants to learn a new magic system for a 3 hour pickup game).

Also, check out ConstantCon (available games are posted here): http://constantcon.blogspot.com/

Hmmm might have to look into it. my problem is distributing maps and dealing with digital character sheets. Yes it is ironic seeing as most my games have been Play-by-chat... another problem is if it is the same community I have dealt with before they usually are paizo fan-boys who get mad at even the slightest tinkering with the rules... And get mad when it comes to how I view alignments. As most people even those who aren't Christians still view the world from a Christian based view or something similar. Meaning they view the world from a lawful good perspective. While I am close to true neutral and view the world as such. It leads to a lot of problems as most people who don't know me view me as CE While those who do say I'm CG. Heck I said that on a forum topic dealing with alignments and got attacked with them saying things that I must be a criminal and promote slavery and genocide and such... long story short... unless I find players who are liberal, non-religious, or just open-minded it doesn't seem likely... sorry for rambling... well that is a new one... I just got called the anti-christ...

The online G+ community is pretty active, so you can always try there. No matter how obscure the game you want to play, there are likely to be some interested players. Not as good as in person, but better than nothing.

I can say I haven't played the original but I have played many games like it. To be honest I could hug you for this. Out of all the exploration, hexcrawl, and cartography stuff I have been reading this has inspired me to give it another go. Though I have to find a group that wants to play something besides battlefielse/railroad campaigns.
